This graduate certificate prepares you to understand these connections—and to lead change within organizations to improve worker safety, health, and well-being. The Graduate Certificate in Total Worker Health® at UNC Chapel Hill is a 9-credit, 3-course program which addresses how work impacts safety and health, organizational change and advocacy, strategies for engaging workers and management, and how to implement programs, policies and practices that improve worker and workplace safety and health.
Bring your expertise in business, law, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, health behavior, policy, exercise science, medicine, nursing, or related fields, and gain the skills to design, implement, and evaluate efforts to create healthier workers and workplaces.

Who Should Apply?
This program is open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree or higher, including:
- Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
- Faculty from UNC and other institutions
- Working professionals in safety, health, and organizational leadership
Tuition Support: Eligible applicants may receive tuition support for up to 3 credit hours per course.
